Are mealybugs a problem for spider plants?

Mealybugs attack many houseplants, including your beloved spider plants. Look out for white residue on your plant or things that look like little bits of cotton on your plant. You can eliminate these insects by soaking paper towels in rubbing alcohol and then rubbing them on the plant. If there is a more extensive infestation, use neem oil to fight back against these pests and other fungi. Before using neem oil, however, follow the instructions closely before using the product.
