Why are my begonias so big and lush but producing very few flowers?

They are getting too much nitrogen and need more phosphorus and potash. Nitrogen primarily encourages leaf and stem growth. Plant foods that have a high nitrogen content are excellent for foliage plants and for flowering plants with sickly foliage. But they may tend to discourage the blooming of otherwise healthy flowering plants.
