What is the best fertilizer for house plants?

You can use any complete, or balanced, commercial fertilizer, but the easiest to use are those that come in liquid or soluble powder form. These are simply mixed in water and applied. Fertilizer formulas vary widely; but in general, any brand that has twice as much phosphorus as nitrogen and potash will be fine for most house plants. All three elements are needed.
