How do I make a metal plant tray for window plants?

You may be able to buy a tray. If not, have a handyman make one out of sheet copper or galvanized iron. It should be about 1 inch deep and any width and length you need. Solder the corners so the tray will hold water. Then fill with 1/2 inch of white pebbles and set the pots on top. Keep water in the tray just to the surface of the pebbles—it will provide the humidity so many plants require.
