How can I stop an infestation of whiteflies?

Whiteflies are small sucking insects that attack the undersides of leaves and cause yellowing and wilting. They can be controlled by spraying plants with organic pesticides or malathion. Several sprayings with a nicotine-soap solution are also effective. Whichever solution you choose, be sure the spray strikes the undersides of the leaves.
