How are bulbs handled when they are brought in from cold storage?
Hold them in a dark, cool (about 50°F) place for about three weeks until leaves and flower stalks are 6 to 8 inches high. Water moderately. Then bring them inside, first to a light, then to a sunny window that is not too warm. A temperature of 60° to 70° F is about right. During leaf and stalk formation, growth will be yellow because of lack of light. Do not worry about this. It will quickly green up when exposed to light.
